Team win at the first dressage of 2026!

What a day at the Area 9 Grassroots Dressage Qualifier at CCR Qualifier!

We were incredibly lucky to see the sunshine and it truly set the scene for a fantastic day of riding and team spirit.

We were proud to have two teams out representing VWH - each with three riders - and what a performance from everyone!

A TEAM WIN for our brilliant VWH Lions — Pippa Taylor, Jo Thornton and Nia Glover-Jones! There were super individual tests all round, with Jo Thornton, 3rd in the Intro - such an amazing achievement and definitely happy tears all round for Jo and Rauri!, Pippa Taylor, 3rd in the Prelim with the beautiful, floaty Banner. Nia Glover 4th in the Prelim on her lovely new pony Alfie.

Our VWH Tigers also had a great day, finishing Team 8th with some lovely tests from

Penny Hall, Aimee Todd and Suzanne Steel - with Suzanne taking an individual 6th on the very white and utterly gorgeous Tina!

A super day for the club - so proud of everyone who competed and represented us so brilliantly. Huge thank you as well to those who came to support... and of course to Penny for keeping us fuelled with her legendary chocolate brownies.
