Area 9 Animalife Horse Trials Qualifier
A super two days was had by all and what a brilliant turn out from the club!
Saturday 9th July
Our 90cm team kicked off the day bright and early all had a good day with the team finishing 5th. Individual 4th for Jude riding Africa (His first 90cm clear XC), 7th for Fiona riding Penny, 9th for Pip riding Heston (they left the poles up at last!), and a last minute substitution included Lynda riding Splash in his first 90cm (jumping a double clear with just a couple of time faults) to finish a very credible 13th.
The afternoon saw our 80cm team compete and they also finished with the team in 5th Place. Kathy Froom riding Indigo in his first ever event took 5th place individually jumping a double clear, with Penny riding Marley and Judith riding Sanchez also completing with double clears and just a few time faults, and Becky riding Boris, just rolled a pole and were given an unlucky stop at the water but more importantly he went in the water and didn't decide to have a pause on course!
Sunday 10th July
Back for me our 100cm team were competing on the Sunday! With afternoon times, the dressage was completed before the course walk, sadly they were down to three members due to injury but they did brilliantly to WIN!! and qualify for the National Championships in just three weeks time!
Despite all these teams competing we also had members, family and friends who helped out before and during the event, not just so our teams could compete but to allow the event to run!
A huge thank you goes to every-one who gave up there time to help, our amazing members and committee organised all the entries and times, provided a senior steward and completed all the scoring on the saturday of the event - not a small task. We can not thank you all enough!!

Combined Training Championship Success
Saturday / Sunday 4th / 5th June at Aston Le Wall
On the Friday Philli Hall and Cheeko had a fabulous day over a chunky course, to just roll one pole and a sprinkling of time faults to finish 34th out of almost 100 competitors in the BRC 100 Eventers Challenge. Penny and Philli then kindly volunteered in the afternoon so that our Combined training team - Penny & Marley, Pip & Rauri, Jude & Africa and Fiona & Pen could compete on the Sunday. The weather was fabulous, after a super camp on the saturday night we had a superb day. With all good dressage scores, and just a few poles the team just missed a rosette finishing 11th. Jude finished Individual 7th and Fiona Individual 8th. Thank you to all our helpers and supporters for coming along and sharing in our fantastic weekend.
Winter Novice Show Jumping - Championship Success
Our Senior Novice Show Jumping Team - Judith, Angela, Penny and Fiona did brilliantly on Saturday 9th April at Keysoe to finish 8th out of 30 teams at the National Championships!
With a very long drive, some incredibly early starts our team pulled together and had a superb weekend at Keysoe. Over a stiff up to height course they did brilliantly to finish on team score of 12 faults. Well done all!
A huge thank you goes to Fiona Russell-Brown for being their team volunteer to allow them to compete.
Saturday 30th April see's our Intermediate Show Jumping team compete at their Championships at Bury Farm, along side Patricia Haskins in the Medium Dressage.
Winter Intermediate Show Jumping Championships
Our Intermediate team - Pip, Cassie, Mariana and Kerry, headed to Bury Farm on Friday 29th April ready to compete on Saturday 30th April. Having secured an amazing camping spot, settled ponies and walked the course, a cosy fun evening was spent in Kerry's lorry. With every-one up early a full day of competition awaited them. The first round produced four great rounds and a team score of zero. Over lunch the new course was revealed and heck did it go up!! A valiant effort by all still sadly meant no team score but Kerry and Cassie rode brilliantly to complete their rounds. Lots of fun, great company and super team work made the weekend a great success! Huge thank you to Robert, Jo and Harry are amazing team supporters and volunteers.

Held at Leyland Court Equestrian Centre on Sunday 28th February.
With an individual Medium competition and a team competition requiring riders at Prelim, Novice and Elementary level there was something for every-one and having entered two teams and one individual medium entry a great day was had by all.
The new surface at Leyland Court was fantastic and we had some great results. Sarah McMurray finished 6th individual in Novice D10, Jude Matthews 2nd individual in the Novice 30, and Mariana Gaussen 4th in the same test, whilst Patricia Haskins rode brilliantly at the end of the day to win the Medium Individual competition so will be off to the Championships with our Intermediate Show Jumping Team.
